3 Chairman's Report 主席報告 the Department of Computer Science, the School of Communication and the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning jointly organised an international competition with overseas universities to develop ways to address COVID-19 and empower the community. The contest was called the Virtual Hack and Design Challenge. Build a brand new campus HKBU’s creativity has also been demonstrated in our campus development. Thanks to the staunch support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the University is building a brand new campus – the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity. Equippedwith state-of-the-art facilities and student- oriented pedagogy, it is the first complex in Hong Kong that integrates an academic co-creation space with student accommodation. A project unprecedented in its nature and scale, this new campus addresses future teaching and research needs and is destined to be a prominent landmark of academic excellence and creativity. The HK$452 million donated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust in support of the project is the largest single gift HKBU has ever received and is indeed an enormous source of encouragement to the University. The new campus, located on Renfrew Road, Kowloon Tong, is a central component of HKBU’s Institutional Strategic Plan 2018-2028. In this connection, we are also particularly grateful for the generosity of Hung Hin Shiu Charitable Foundation Limited, Shiu Pong Enterprises Limited and the Hung family; Lee Shau Kee Foundation Limited; the late Mr. Lo Siu Tong and the Lo family; and Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Limited. They are all long-standing supporters of the University and identify with the direction taken by HKBU for its future development. They gave tremendous support – donations of HK$100 million – for the construction of this large-scale campus. 興建嶄新校園 浸大的創意澎湃，今年更在校園建設上揭開新 的一頁。大學承蒙香港賽馬會慈善信託基金 鼎力支持，動工興建一座嶄新的校園─賽馬  會創意校園，校園是全港首座結合學術空間和 學生宿舍的建築，集研究、教學和集體創作 於一身，糅合最先進的設施，並以學生為本的  理念，前瞻未來的教學及研究需要，其性質及 規模均是前所未見，相信落成後可成為代表  學術卓越及創意的新地標。 今次香港賽馬會慈善信託基金慷慨捐資港幣 4.52 億元，是浸大成立以來收到最大額的單一 捐款，對我們而言無疑是極大的鼓勵！新校 園位於九龍塘聯福道，是襄助大學實踐「策略  發展計劃 2018-2028 」的重要一環。我們也特別 感謝孔憲紹慈善基金有限公司、紹邦企業有限 公司及孔氏家族；李兆基基金有限公司；已故 羅肇唐先生及羅氏家族；以及信興教育及慈善 基金有限公司，一直以來都對大學關愛有加， 而且十分認同我們未來的發展方向，因而先後 作出以億元計算的巨額捐款，支持新校園這個 規模龐大的項目。
