2 Beat the Virus together During the year, HKBU staff and students used their creative and caring DNA to help the community overcome the problems posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. To give just several examples of such assistance, the School of Chinese Medicine gave its Chinese Medicine Immunity Enhancement Remedy to frontline medical staff and the needy. Professors of the Faculty of Science developed an interactive infographic webpage that provides real-time information to the public. Students from the Faculty of Arts wrote songs dedicated to medical staff, transportation professionals and security guards who faced increased workloads during the pandemic. The Faculty of Social Sciences and the School of Chinese Medicine made video clips giving sports and healthcare tips to help Hong Kong people fight the virus. The School of Business taught marketing strategies that can increase sales in a lockdown. Online seminars were held by the Academy of Visual Arts to show how we can continue our creative activities at home. Last but not least, 與港人攜手抗疫 在過去一年，浸大師生各展所長，與港人攜手 跨越新冠肺炎疫情的挑戰。中醫藥學院向前線 醫護人員及有需要人士提供中醫藥防感方，增 強他們的免疫力；理學院的教授建立互動及實 時的 COVID-19 訊息地圖，實有助社會大眾迅速 掌握疫情；更有文學院師生透過作曲填詞，為 醫護人員、的士司機及保安員打氣；社會科學 院及中醫藥學院則拍攝了不少以運動及保健為 主題的短片，教導市民輕鬆抗疫；工商管理學 院也介紹了疫情下的行銷策略，以增加銷售； 視覺藝術院舉辦網上講座，分享如何在家居創 作藝術；計算機科學系、傳理學院與創新服務 學習中心，更聯同多間外國大學合辦國際性比 賽，讓世界各地的青年一同為新型冠狀病毒疫 情設計創新的應對方案，為社群注入新能量。 Chairman’s Report 主席報告 Universities around the globe faced enormous challenges amid the coronavirus pandemic over the past year: campuses were forced to shut down, the modes of teaching had to evolve, the social lives of both teachers and students were severely affected. Nevertheless, it is always during the most difficult times that people come up with the most creative solutions. In response to the outbreak, members of the HKBU community have been of one mind – to do our utmost to help the needy in society. At the same time, many dedicated supporters of higher education in Hong Kong have given their backing to HKBU, making 2020 a fruitful year for the HKBU Foundation. 2020 年，世界各地的大學都面對世紀疫症的衝擊，校園被迫關閉，課堂模式徹底改變，師生的教與學及社交 活動大受影響。然而，人類在最艱難的時刻，往往能發揮出最大的創意來應對逆境。在疫情期間，香港浸會 大學的師生團結一致，以其創意關懷社會；而在這個非常時期，各界亦有不少熱心教育的人士持續支持浸大， 讓 2020 年成為香港浸會大學基金成果豐碩的一年。
