10 Professor Guo Yike Vice-President (Research and Development), HKBU 郭毅可教授 香港浸會大學副校長（研究及拓展） Impact of Giving 捐獻的力量 Venkata Subramanian Kavyasree (Entrepreneurship) Awardee of the Padma & Hari Harilela Scholarship Fund for Outstanding Students 2019/20 Venkata Subramanian Kavyasree （創業學） 夏利萊博士伉儷優秀學生獎學金 2019/20 得獎人 I am very honoured to be one of the recipients of the Padma & Hari Harilela Scholarship Fund for Outstanding Students. This scholarship not only allows me to continue my studies, but also makes me realise the importance of donors’ contributions to education. In the future, I hope that I can help underprivileged children to achieve their educational goals, and that they in turn will do likewise, thereby helping the world to eradicate illiteracy. 我很榮幸能成為夏利萊博士伉儷優秀學生獎 學金的得獎人。這筆獎學金不單讓我可繼續 學習，亦令我明白到捐款人對教育支持的重 要性。希望將來我也可幫助弱勢兒童得到學 習機會，然後再由他們延續這使命，助世界 消除文盲。 Reinforcing its existing research strengths in science and humanities, HKBU has established six interdisciplinary research laboratories. They are the Augmented Creativity Laboratory, the Computational Medicine Laboratory, the System Health Laboratory, the Smart Society Laboratory, the Data Economy Laboratory, and the Ethical and Theoretical AI Laboratory. These laboratories will help us break through disciplinary boundaries and foster close engagement between the sciences, arts and social sciences, thereby enabling our researchers to make new discoveries. 浸大發揮其科學與人文研究的綜合優勢，成立了  六所跨學科研究實驗室，包括創造性智能實驗室、 計算醫藥學實驗室、系統健康研究實驗室、智能社 會實驗室、數據經濟實驗室，以及人工智能倫理 與理論實驗室。這些實驗室可助我們打破學科的界 限，緊密聯繫科學、藝術、人文和社會科學，開拓 更多尖端、嶄新的跨領域研究。 HKBU Interdisciplinary ResearchWebsite https://interdisciplinary-research.hkbu.edu.hk
