53 In Memoriam 永遠懷念 The Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. Payson Cha Mou Sing, JP, Member of the Cha Foundation, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation, on 6 November 2020 in California, USA. He was 77 years old. Dr. Cha, Chairman of HKR International Limited, was a successful entrepreneur who made tremendous contributions to the development of tourism and the economy in Hong Kong. He also had an impressive record of public service. Dr. Cha, together with his late father Dr. the Hon. Cha Chi Ming, GBM, JP, and the Cha family have been longstanding supporters of HKBU. They made their first gift to HKBU as early as 1971. Over the years, they made generous donations in support of various endeavours of the University, including the University Fund and the Joint Open Laboratory of Soil and the Environment established by the Institute of Soil Science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and HKBU. Dr. Cha will always be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the University. Dr. PaysonChaMouSing 查懋聲博士 The Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Andrew Hung, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee (YEC) and Honorary Vice- President of the HKBU Foundation, on 10 October 2020. Mr. Andrew Hung, Executive Director and Marketing Director of Ten Pao Group Holdings Limited (the Group) as well as a director of certain of the Group’s subsidiaries, was a young entrepreneur with a passion for public service. He was a member of the YEC since its inception in 2018. Serving on the Entrepreneurship, Internship and Mentorship Special Task Force under the YEC, Mr. Hung offered his wise counsel to the University in its soliciting of opportunities and resources for related programmes. Mr. Hung was also actively involved in charity work, particularly through the Shine Tak Foundation. Mr. Hung will always be greatly missed by the University community. Mr. AndrewHung Sui Tak 洪瑞德先生 香港浸會大學基金青年企業家委員會 委員及基金榮譽副主席洪瑞德先生於 2020 年 10 月 10 日辭世，基金同仁深表 哀悼。 洪瑞德先生為天寶集團控股有限公司執 行董事兼市場總監，亦出任該公司若干 附屬公司的董事，是一位熱心公益事務 的年青企業家。 2018 年基金青年企業 家委員會成立之際，洪先生已是委員會 委員，亦是委員會轄下「創業、實習及 師友計劃」專責小組的成員，協助大學 開拓更多機會及資源。洪先生亦積極參 與公益事務，包括善德基金會的活動。 大學同仁定必懷念洪先生這位摯友。 香港浸會大學基金永遠榮譽董事香 港查氏基金會成員查懋聲博士， J P 於 2020 年 11 月 6 日於美國加州辭世， 享年 77 歲，基金同仁深表哀悼。 查懋聲博士為香港興業國際集團有限 公司主席，是一位在商界備受敬重的 成功企業家，多年來對香港的旅遊業 和經濟發展貢獻良多。他亦熱心參與公 共事務。查博士與其已故父親查濟民 博士， GBM ， JP 及家人均是浸大的長期 支持者，早於 1971 年已向本校作出第 一筆捐獻。多年來，他們對浸大關愛 有加，慷慨捐資支持大學各領域發展， 包括大學基金及中國科學院南京土壤 研究所．香港浸會大學聯合開放實驗 室「惠聯大樓」。我們定必銘記查博士 對浸大發展的寶貴支持。
