52 The Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. Philip Wong Kin Hang, GBS, JP, donor of HKBU, on 28 May 2020. Dr. Wong, founder of Philip K.H. Wong, Kennedy Y.H. Wong & Co., was a Hong Kong legal magnate who had made remarkable contributions to the legal sector for over 60 years. He had an impressive record of public and community service and was at the helm of numerous public bodies and charitable organisations. Dr. Wong was also a well-respected philanthropist. He founded the Philip K.H. Wong Foundation in 1990 to support a variety of charitable activities. A staunch supporter of HKBU, Dr. Wong and his Foundation made generous donations in support of the University’s endeavours, including the School of Chinese Medicine’s research projects as well as its meaningful initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic such as distributing the Chinese Medicine Influenza Prevention Remedy free to frontline healthcare workers and people in need. Dr. Wong will always be remembered for his ardent support and distinguished contributions to Hong Kong as well as the University. Dr. PhilipWongKinHang 黃乾亨博士 香港浸會大學捐款人黃乾亨博士, GBS , JP 於 2020 年 5 月 28 日辭世,基 金同仁深表哀悼。 黃乾亨博士為黃乾亨黃英豪律師事 務所創辦人,從事法律服務行業逾 60 年,是香港法律界的翹楚,對法律 界之發展貢獻卓著。黃博士熱心參與 公共服務,曾領導不少公共機構及慈 善團體。黃博士亦是熱心的慈善家, 為人樂善好施。黃博士於 1990 年創辦 黄乾亨基金,積極推動公益項目。黃 博士對浸大亦關愛有加,曾慷慨捐資 支持大學各領域之發展,包括中醫藥 學院之科研項目及贈醫施藥行動,而 在 2019 新型冠狀病毒疫情期間,贊助 送贈中藥防流感方劑予醫院前線員工 及有需要人士。大學同仁定必銘記黃 博士對香港及浸大發展所作出的傑出 貢獻。 The Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mrs. Lo Hui Kit San, donor of HKBU, on 5 October 2020. She was 92 years old. Mrs. Lo Hui Kit San and her family have been dedicated to supporting a variety of charitable initiatives with a focus on education. Over the years, they have contributed to many charitable projects both on the Mainland and in Hong Kong. Mrs. Lo Hui Kit San, together with her late husband Mr. Lo Siu Tong and her family, who all concurred with the University’s motto of “Faith and Perseverance”, donated HK$100 million in 2019 in support of the University’s strategic development, particularly the new Jockey Club Campus of Creativity, which combines student hostels with state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities. Mrs. Lo will always be remembered for her zealous support and significant contributions to the University’s development. Mrs. Lo Hui Kit San 羅許潔珊女士 香港浸會大學捐款人羅許潔珊女士於 2020 年 10 月 5 日辭世,享年 92 歲,基金 同仁深表哀悼。 羅許潔珊女士與家人一直熱心支持社 會服務工作,積極推動慈善事業,並 特別重視教育,多年來在內地及本港 捐助不同的項目,善名遠播。羅許潔 珊女士與已故夫婿羅肇唐先生及家人 認同浸大「篤信力行」的校訓,於 2019 年捐贈港幣一億元予浸大,支持大 學的策略發展,尤其用於興建全新的 賽馬會創意校園,提供學生宿舍及頂 級教研設施。她對浸大發展的熱心支 持我們定必銘記於心。
