24  Dr. Gao Meng, Assistant Professor of the Department of Geography, was named in 2020 as one of the 30 outstanding people in China under the age of 30 in the field of science and medical health, according to Forbes China. His research has been recognised with multiple awards including the European Geoscience Union Atmospheric Science Division Outstanding Young Scientist Award. 地理系助理教授高蒙博士入選「福布斯中國 2020 年 30 歲以 下精英榜」，成為科學和醫療健康領域的 30 位中國優秀青年 之一。高博士曾獲歐洲地球科學聯合會大氣科學學部傑出 青年科學家獎等多個獎項。  The patented invention “Quality Control Marker and its Use in Herbs Authentication” developed by Dr. Han Quanbin, Vincent V.C. Woo Endowed Associate Professor in Chinese Medicine of the School of Chinese Medicine, has won the Excellence Award at the 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High-Value Patent Portfolio Contest 2020. 中醫藥學院吳文政中醫藥副教授韓全斌博士的專利發明「多 糖標誌物在鐵皮石斛鑒定中的應用」，於「 2020 第二屆粵港 澳大灣區高價值專利培育佈局大賽」獲頒發優秀獎。 Outstanding Achievements 傑出成就  The outstanding performance of the Academy of Film’s faculty and alumni is widely recognised. Lecturer Mr. Kit Hung’s new film, Stoma , was shortlisted for a Firebird Award in the Young Cinema Competition (Chinese Language) category of the 44th Hong Kong International Film Festival. Alumna Norris Wong won the Best New Director award at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards for her debut work, My Prince Edward . 電影學院師生及校友的傑出表現一直備受認同。講師洪榮傑 先生執導的劇情片《造口人》，入圍角逐第 44 屆香港國際電 影節「火鳥大獎」新秀電影競賽（華語）單元。校友黃綺琳  則憑首部自編自導長片《金都》，榮獲第 39 屆香港電影金像 獎「新晉導演」獎。  Professor Cheah KokWai, Chair Professor of the Department of Physics and Dr. Elizabeth K.S. Law Endowed Professor in Advanced Materials, was presented with the IAAM Scientist Award by the renowned International Association of Advanced Materials. This was in recognition of his contributions in the areas of materials science, engineering and technology. 物理系講座教授及羅嘉穗博士先進材料研究教授謝國偉教 授，獲知名的科研組織「國際先進材料協會」頒發「 IAAM 科 學家獎」，以表揚他在材料科學、工程和技術領域的傑出  貢獻。
