In Memoriam 永遠懷念 46 HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Professor Deng Tietao, Honorary Doctor of Science (2001) of HKBU, Honorary Professor of the School of Chinese Medicine, and donor of the University, on 10 January 2019. He was 104 years old. Professor Deng is well-known as “The Grand Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China”. His life-long contribution to TCM teaching, research and clinical service have had a significant impact on the development of TCM in China. A long-time supporter of our School of Chinese Medicine, Professor Deng made generous donations in support of the inheritance and innovation of a Chinese medicine project in 2006. In 2016, he also donated a collection of valuable books on Chinese medicine to support the teaching, research and clinical endeavours of the School. Professor Deng will always be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the University and the TCM sector. The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Lord Au Bak Ling, Founder of the Au Bak Ling Charity Trust and Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, on 20 April 2019. He was 92 years old. Lord Au made significant contributions to the educational publishing industry and the advancement of education on the Mainland and in Hong Kong. He donated generously to establish scholarship schemes such as the Au Bak Ling Charity Trust Hong Kong Teachers’ Training Scholarship Scheme and the Au Bak Ling Charity Trust - Scholarship Scheme, with an aim to help needy students who aspire to become teachers. Many HKBU students are also beneficiaries of these Schemes. Lord Au will always be remembered for his unfailing support for the University. Professor DengTietao 鄧鐵濤教授 Lord Au Bak Ling 區百齡勛爵 In Memoriam 永遠懷念 香港浸會大學 2001 年榮譽理學博 士、中醫藥學院榮譽教授及捐款 人鄧鐵濤教授於 2019 年 1 月 10 日辭 世，享年 104 歲，基金同仁深表哀 悼。 鄧教授是中國首屆「國醫大師」，畢 生致力推動中醫藥教學、研究和傳 承臨床診療經驗，對中國近代中醫 藥的發展有重大貢獻。作為中醫藥 學院的長期支持者，鄧教授於 2006 年慷慨捐資支持中醫藥學院科研團 隊，進行中醫五臟相關理論繼承與 創新研究。 2016 年，鄧教授又惠贈 一批珍貴書籍予大學，支持中醫藥 學院的醫教研工作。大學同仁定必 銘記他對浸大發展的熱心支持，以 及對中醫藥的超卓貢獻。 香港浸會大學基金榮譽會董區百齡 慈善基金會創辦人區百齡勛爵於 2019 年 4 月 20 日辭世，享年 92 歲， 基金同仁深表哀悼。 區勛爵對教育出版業、內地及本地 的教育發展貢獻良多，多年來慷慨 捐資設立區百齡慈善基金會香港師 資培訓獎學金及區百齡慈善基金會 獎學金，為面對經濟困難但有志成 為老師的人提供資助，不少浸大學 生亦有受惠。我們定必銘記區勛爵 對浸大發展的寶貴支持。
