In Memoriam 永遠懷念 47 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. the Hon. Wong Po Yan, GBM, CBE, JP, former Chairman of the Board of Governors and the Council of Hong Kong Baptist College (1987-1989) and Honorary Doctor of Social Sciences of HKBU (1994) as well as Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, on 22 July 2019. He was 96 years old. Dr. Wong was a distinguished public servant and a long-standing supporter of the University. As a member of the Hong Kong Baptist College Board of Governors and Council from 1984 to 1986, he played a pivotal role in transforming the College into a university. He made generous donations supporting the University Foundation Fund, the Undergraduate Hall as well as the Daniel & Kitty Tse Distinguished Visiting Professorship Scheme. Dr. Wong will always be remembered for his ardent support and significant contributions to the University. The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Fung Sun Kwan, Honorary University Fellow (2006) of HKBU and Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, on 2 October 2019. He was 90 years old. A distinguished industrialist and a renowned philanthropist, Mr. Fung was a long-standing supporter of the University. He aided the growth and development of HKBU since its early days, from making generous donations towards the construction of the David C. Lam Building to giving recent support for the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology at HKBU. He also strongly supported the establishment and development of the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College and set up the Mr. Fung Sun Kwan Scholarship of Excellence, as he shares the College’s educational philosophy of promoting a liberal arts education. Mr. Fung will always be remembered for his remarkable contributions to the University. Dr. the Hon. Wong Po Yan 黃保欣博士 Mr. Fung Sun Kwan 馮燊均院士 前香港浸會學院校董會與校務議 會主席（ 1987-1989 ）、 1994 年浸 大榮譽社會科學博士兼香港浸 會大學基金榮譽主席黃保欣博 士， GBM ， CBE ， JP 於 2019 年 7 月 22 日辭世，享年 96 歲，基金同仁深表 哀悼。 黃博士為傑出的政商界領袖，亦是 浸大的長期支持者。他於 1984 至 1986 年期間出任香港浸會學院校 董會與校務議會成員，在為學院申 請正名大學的過程中擔當重要角 色。他更慷慨捐資支持大學基金、 學生宿舍發展，以及謝志偉博士伉 儷客座教授計劃。大學同仁定必銘 記他對浸大發展的熱心支持和重大 貢獻。 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. the Hon. Tsang Hin Chi, GBM, donor of HKBU, on 20 September 2019. He was 85 years old. Dr. Tsang, founder of the Goldlion Holdings Limited, was a prominent industrialist who made remarkable contributions to the apparel industry. Dr. Tsang was also a well-respected philanthropist and was committed to contributing to the country. He set up the Tsang Hin Chi Education Foundation, the Tsang Hin Chi Manned Space Foundation as well as the Tsang Hin Chi Sports Foundation to support the development of education, aerospace and sports on the Mainland. A staunch supporter of HKBU, Dr. Tsang made a generous donation supporting the Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies in conducting research on the development of Hong Kong. Dr. Tsang will always be remembered for his distinguished contributions to Mainland China, Hong Kong, as well as the University. Dr. the Hon. Tsang Hin Chi 曾憲梓博士 香港浸會大學捐款人曾憲梓博 士， GBM 於 2019 年 9 月 20 日辭世， 享年 85 歲，基金同仁深表哀悼。 曾憲梓博士創辦金利來集團有限 公司，為工業界翹楚，多年來為 服裝行業的整體發展作出了莫大貢 獻。曾博士樂善好施，並致力貢獻 國家。他設立「曾憲梓教育基金」、  「曾憲梓載人航天基金」及「曾憲梓 體育基金」，支持國家在教育、航 天及體育等方面的發展。曾博士對 浸大亦關愛有加，曾慷慨捐資襄助 當代中國研究所進行香港發展研 究。大學同仁定必銘記曾博士對內 地、香港及浸大發展作出的傑出 貢獻。 香港浸會大學 2006 年榮譽院士及 香港浸會大學基金永遠榮譽主席馮 燊均院士於 2019 年 10 月 2 日辭世， 享年 90 歲，基金同仁深表哀悼。 馮燊均院士是著名的企業家及慈善 家，多年來熱心公益。馮院士是浸 大的長期支持者，由早年贊助興建 思齊樓，至近年捐資支持「饒宗頤 國學院」，皆感受到他對浸大的關 愛。馮院士亦慷慨捐資支持北京師 範大學─香港浸會大學聯合國際學 院的發展，並設立「馮燊均先生國 情國學教育優秀學生獎學金」，倡 導博雅教育的辦學理念。大學同仁 定必銘記馮院士對浸大發展作出的 傑出貢獻。
