Impact of Giving 捐獻的力量 13 It is indeed my honour to take part in this meaningful service-learning project. It was a fruitful collaboration with Dongguan Yan Garden, which provided us with a valuable opportunity to create art pieces that enhance the community’s environment. I was also glad to have my work displayed in the exhibitions held in Hong Kong and Dongguan. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Kam Yuen, Founder of Golden Meditech Holdings Limited, for his generous support for the establishment of the Golden Meditech Centre for NeuroRegeneration Sciences. The Centre will conduct in-depth research related to autologous neural stem cell therapy and other cell therapies that can potentially treat neurodegenerative and other diseases that are presently incurable. 隨着全球老年人口大幅增長，神經退化疾病如阿滋海默症、柏金 遜症等，將成為全球醫療保健的主要威脅。感謝金衛醫療集團創 辦人甘源先生慷慨捐資，成立金衛醫療神經再生研究中心，襄助 浸大進行個人化幹細胞療法的深度研究，開拓細胞治療新方法， 以治療神經退化性疾病及其他不治之症，為病人及家屬帶來希望。 Professor Ken K.L.
