On the one hand, these projects and generous donations have bolstered HKBU’s teaching and research capabilities. On the other hand, they have helped improve people’s health and promote a sustainable lifestyle, resulting in long-term benefit in our society. Our Foundation members must be gratified to see all these impactful outcomes. The success of Hong Kong lies in its people and for decades, HKBU has placed strong emphasis on investing in these most precious assets. The University is now recruiting 100 world-class scholars from around the globe to strengthen our overall academic capacity. Meanwhile, it is also striving for excellence in three research clusters – namely Health and Drug Discovery, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, and Creative Media and Practice – with the goal of improving the lives of all human beings. In this ever-changing world, we firmly believe that the future belongs to those equipped with all-round talent. In order for HKBU to realise its aspiration of becoming a leading research-led liberal arts university in Asia for the world, the University is implementing its 10-year Institutional Strategic Plan at full speed. Among our goals, it is hoped that our diverse and innovative pedagogies will enable our students to receive cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary learning experience for realising their own potential. In this regard, the HKBU Foundation will continue to serve as the University’s solid financial bedrock in support of its ongoing advancement. Harnessing the full strength and abilities of our concerted dedication and collective wisdom, we shall spare no effort in soliciting the support required and enable the University to keep forging ahead.
