The Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. David Chow Tak Fung, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, in early March 2018. He was 71 years old. Mr. David Chow Tak Fung, Founder and Managing Director of Easy Power Limited, was a distinguished entrepreneur who made significant contributions to the optical industry. He also made tireless efforts in the educational development of both Mainland China and Hong Kong, such as building schools in mountain regions of China. In 2016, Mr. Chow made generous donations for the establishment of the Mr. and Mrs. T.F. David Chow Local Students Bursary to support local HKBU students who have financial needs. Mr. Chow will always be remembered for his unfailing support for the University. 香港浸會大學基金榮譽主席周德豐院士於 2018 年 3 月初辭世，享年 71 歲，基金同仁深表哀悼。 周德豐院士為義平有限公司創辦人兼董事總經理，對視光業界貢獻良多。周院士又積極參與本地及 內地的慈善事業，包括捐款資助內地山區建校和助學。 2016 年，周院士慷慨捐資設立周德豐伉儷本 地生助學金，支持有經濟需要的浸大學生。我們定必銘記周院士對浸大發展的寶貴支持。 The Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. the Hon. Chan Sui Kau, GBM, GBS, OBE, JP, Honorary University Fellow (2008) of HKBU and Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, on 27 March 2018. He was 93 years old. A prominent industrial leader and a visionary philanthropist, Dr. Chan was the Honorary Chairman and Executive Director of Yangtzekiang Garment Limited. He was highly respected for his longstanding and substantial contributions to the overall development of the textile and clothing industries over the past decades. He supported HKBU’s Chinese Medicine, Contemporary China Studies, the Hong Kong History Project, and the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology. The School of Continuing Education Tower located on Baptist University Road Campus was named after Madam Chan Wu Wan Kwai in recognition of the generous support from the Chan Family Charities Trust. Dr. Chan will always be remembered for his unstinting support and remarkable contributions to the University. 香港浸會大學 2008 年榮譽大學院士及香港浸會大學基金永遠榮譽主席陳瑞球博士， GBM ， GBS ， OBE ， JP 於 2018 年3月 27 日辭世，享年 93 歲，基金同仁深表哀悼。 陳博士不但是工業界翹楚，也是富有遠見的慈善家，曾任長江製衣有限公司榮譽主席及執行董事。 多年來，陳博士為紡織及製衣行業的整體發展作出了長遠及莫大貢獻，備受業界尊崇。陳博士曾襄 助香港浸會大學中醫藥學院、當代中國研究所、《香港通史》計劃及饒宗頤國學院之發展。為鳴謝 陳博士及其家族慈善基金對浸大歷年來的鼎力支持，大學把位於浸會大學道的持續教育大樓命名 為「陳瑞槐夫人胡尹桂女士持續教育大樓」。大學同仁定必銘記陳博士對浸大發展的熱心支持和傑出 貢獻。 The Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Ir Joseph Chiu Wing Kwong, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation, on 31 March 2018. Alumnus Chiu graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the then Hong Kong Baptist College and was a member of the HKBU Century Club. In addition to making generous contributions to the University’s development, he was very supportive of his alma mater. He will always be remembered for his staunch support for the University. 香港浸會大學基金資深會員趙榮光工程師於 2018 年 3 月 31 日辭世，基金同仁深表哀悼。 趙校友畢業於香港浸會書院土木工程系。作為浸大尚志會會員，他多年來一直關愛母校，慷慨捐資 支持大學多項發展，斥資力行。我們定必銘記趙校友對大學發展的熱心支持。 46 In Memoriam 永遠懷念 Mr. David Chow 周德豐院士 Dr. the Hon.
