Annual Report 2017-18

Our population is ageing rapidly and enormous public medical expenses are impending. Disease prevention has become more important than ever. With the staunch support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, HKBU founded the “Hong Kong Baptist University – Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Disease Prevention and Health Management Centre”, the first of its kind in the territory. We plan to promote the concept of “preventing diseases from occurring, worsening and relapsing” to one million people in the next five years with the aim of enhancing public health. 人口老化問題迫在眉睫，社會將面對龐大的醫療開支，  疾病預防工作更形重要。透過香港賽馬會慈善信託基金的 鼎力支持，浸大成立全港首間中醫疾病預防與健康管理中 心，計劃於未來五年向一百萬人推廣以中醫藥治未病的概 念，以達至「未病防病，已病防變，病癒防復」，從而提升 市民大眾的健康。 Professor Bian Zhaoxiang Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development) and Director and Chair Professor, Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine, HKBU 卞兆祥教授 香港浸會大學協理副校長（中醫藥發展）兼  中醫藥學院臨床部主任及講座教授 I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the generous donors whose contributions have given me the opportunity to broaden my horizons.
