• The Logan Charitable Foundation made a donation in support of the School of Chinese Medicine’s research project entitled “Efficacy and Mechanism Study of Artemisinin Derivatives for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases”; • Mr. Herbert S.K. Lee, Founder and Director of HKS Education Fund Limited, made a donation for the establishment of a seed fund in support of the Academy of Film to produce an inspirational movie that fosters moral values; • Laboratory JaneClare Limited made a donation for the establishment of the “JaneClare Transdermal TCM Therapy Laboratory” of the School of Chinese Medicine; • The Tin Ka Ping Foundation made a donation in support of the “4E Whole Person Servant Leadership Programme” and the conference series entitled “Philosophy of Modern Education and Cultural Transformation in East Asia”; • Mr. Cheng Chak Kuen, Chairman of Dongguan Xingye Trade Development Company Limited, made a donation for the establishment of the “Mr. Cheng Chak Kuen Local Students Bursary”, with the aim of supporting financially needy local students in pursuing their studies at HKBU; • The Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association made a donation for the establishment of the “Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai FongWelfare Association Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students”, with the aim of encouraging and supporting outstanding ethnic minority students in pursuing their undergraduate studies at HKBU. Our Endowed Chairs Scheme has drawn a great deal of attention in recent years. The Scheme, established thanks to the backing of generous benefactors, seeks to recruit and retain the world’s top scholars in order to strengthen HKBU’s research capacity, extend the frontiers of knowledge and nurture the talents of the upcoming leaders of society. No matter whether the amounts are large or small, every endowment represents a vote of confidence from our supporters, giving us great encouragement to keep forging ahead on our chosen journey of development. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to our donors for their contributions, which have enabled the Foundation to grow and give continuous support to HKBU’s advancement. I also deeply appreciate the active participation of all our Board Members as well as Members of the Entrepreneur Committee and the Alumni Committee. In addition to giving • 龍光慈善基金會慷慨捐資支持中醫藥學 院「青蒿素類化合物治療炎症性腸病的 活性篩選及作用機制的研究」； • 偉新教育基金有限公司創辦人及董事李 賢凱先生捐資支持電影學院成立「德育推 廣種子基金」，拍攝一部勵志電影； • 珍卡兒藥妝有限公司慷慨捐資襄助中醫藥 學院成立「珍卡兒中醫透皮治療實驗室」； • 田家炳基金會慷慨捐資推動「 4E 全人服務 領袖計劃」及「現代教育哲學及東亞文化 更新研討會」； • 東莞市興業貿易發展有限公司董事長鄭 澤權先生慷慨捐資設立「鄭澤權先生本 地生助學金」，資助有經濟困難的浸大 學生； • 尖沙咀街坊福利會慷慨捐資設立本港大 學首個專為少數族裔學生而設的入學獎 學金─「尖沙咀街坊福利會南亞及東南 亞少數族裔傑出學生入學獎學金」，以 鼓勵傑出的少數族裔學生。 還有近年備受關注的「冠名講座教授席計 劃」，透過熱心人士的慷慨捐資，成立各個 冠名講座教授席，俾使浸大得以延攬國際頂 尖人才，從而壯大教學及研究實力，力臻 卓越，造福社群。各界的捐獻，不論金額大 小，均代表着他們對浸大投下的信任票，不 但給予我們莫大鼓勵，亦鞭策浸大同仁繼續 奮發前行。 我衷心感謝各捐款人、捐款機構的支持和捐 獻，令香港浸會大學基金這股推動大學發展 的力量蓬勃滋長。我亦感激董事局及轄下 企業家委員會和校友委員會各成員的熱忱參 與，各人盡顯所長，出謀獻策，鼓動身邊朋 友甚至下一代加入基金這大家庭，為基金注 4 Chairman’s Report 主席報告
