37 Membership Roll 基金會員芳名 Having served on the Alumni Committee for nine years since the establishment of the HKBU Foundation, it is time to me to step down as Chairman. During my tenure, the Committee has implemented a variety of initiatives to strengthen the bonds between alumni andtheiralmamater. Afterseveraltrialruns,theCommitteedevisedafour-prongedapproachtoguideitsendeavours, summarised as “maintain the apathetic, develop the capable, love the enthusiastic, and nurture the young”. Going forward, there is still much work to be done to correct misconceptions that donations aremade only by the mega-rich and that small donations are unnecessary. On the contrary, the amount donated is not as important as the sense of belonging that motivates the donor.
