17 University’s Recent Developments 大學最新發展 To strengthen international academic exchange, this year HKBU has established partnerships with renowned institutes worldwide such as Simon Fraser University in Canada, Hiroshima University in Japan and Tsinghua University in Beijing. Recently, HKBU has reached an agreement with Tencent, the largest global Chinese media content provider, authorising the School of Communication’s AI Media Research laboratory to use its new media operating software for teaching and research purposes. 為了加強國際學術交流，浸大今年與加拿大西門菲沙大學、 日本廣島大學及北京清華大學等知名學府先後訂立合作關 係；最近又與全球第一大中文內容網站騰訊網合作，騰訊將 授權傳理學院的人工智能媒體創新實驗室使用其研發的新媒 體技術產品作教學及研究用途。 HKBU has designed an array of service learning programmes for students to enable them to serve the community and at the same time put classroom theory into practice. In the 2016- 2017 academic year, 848 HKBU students set off to 21 locations in Germany, India, Japan, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, as well as Mainland China and Taiwan. They served a total of 10,699 hours and 8,144 persons in need. 浸大設計了一系列的服務學習計劃，讓學生服務社區之餘， 又能實踐所學。在 2016-2017 學年，共有 848 位浸大學生前往 了位處德國、印度、日本、緬甸、尼泊爾、泰國、中國內地 及台灣等的 21 個地點，為 8,144 名人士服務了 10,699 小時。 To enhance the understanding of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the opportunities it offers, HKBU organised the Belt and Road Public Lecture and Concert Series. Three distinguished speakers, namely Ms. Wu Man, world renowned Pipa virtuoso; Professor Klara Khafizova, Academician of Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences; and Professor Zhao Zhongzhen, Associate Dean of Chinese Medicine, were invited to speak about the Initiative. 為了令浸大社群深入認識國家推行的「一帶一路」政策及所帶 來的機遇，大學特別舉辦了「一帶一路」公開講座及音樂會系 列，邀請了三位著名的專家學者─世界著名琵琶演奏家吳蠻 女士、哈薩克斯坦自然科學院院士哈菲佐娃教授、香港浸會 大學中醫藥學院副院長趙中振教授擔任講者。 HKBU continuously invites world-class scholars to share their insights on campus. In 2017, three Nobel Laureates were among a host of experts who delivered lectures at HKBU. Also among the experts was Mr. Andrew Hevia, co-producer of the film Moonlight which has won over 100 awards across the globe. 浸大不時邀請世界級學者到訪校園，與師生分享其真知灼 見。 2017 年，大學邀得三位諾貝爾獎得主及其他領域的專家 前來出席講座，當中包括奧斯卡金像獎最佳電影《月亮喜歡 藍》聯合監製安德夏先生。該電影於世界各地奪得超過 100 個 國際獎項。 Quality Teaching and Learning 優質教與學
